This 10-week course begins with a discussion about beauty as an attribute of God, then explores worship and art in the Old Testament. Following a study of signs and symbols in Christian art, the discussion then moves to understanding their use in the liturgy, as the language of worship. By deepening our knowledge of the power of signs and symbols, we allow ourselves to be drawn into that beautiful and wondrous divine exchange where physical actions and objects become spiritual realities.
